- NOTE:
- These are the equivalent heat ranges found through
track and dyno testing, they will not necessarily match the manufacturers
listings. They almost certainly do not do their testing in Adelaide,
Australia !!
- All above are not guaranteed 100% correct, but to
the best of our ability they are as accurate as any other tests done.
We are always being quoted dyno test results , and just as jets can alter from
one location to another so too can spark plug heat ranges and even types.
Please always be careful with what your dyno centre tells you and re-test for
yourself at the track.
The new NGK Iridium spark plugs are not included in any of our charts or
suggestions. Their EV / EGV ranges have proven far more suitable and
reliable in all of the 2 stroke applications we have come across. This
will possibly change in time, but for now we have not tested them
successfully.
And to answer your question 'What does
IWT use in their engines ? ' --- it is
KT100S Clubman Heavy ......... sprint B9EGV / B95EGV
KT100S 200 Twin Clubman ..... sprint B10EGV or B95EGV
KT100J National Heavy ........... sprint B9EGV / B95EGV or W07CS
KT100J rookie/ midget ........... sprint B9EGV
YZ80 80cc Superkart ............superkart B10EGV / B105EGV
FR125MAX Rotax .................. superkart B95EGV or IW27 or
IW29 in summer
ditto ........
sprint B95EGV or IW27
( we NEVER use NGK Iridium in the 125 Max )
And all of which are dependant always on the weather of the day !!!!
