SUPERMAX upgrade kit for the ROTAX FR125 MAX kart engine.

The upgrade kit "Super MAX“ has been developed to increase the performance of the standard ROTAX FR 125 MAX engine in the rpm-range from 7.500 to 14.000 rpm.  NOTE: This kit is not legal to be used in the ROTAX MAX Challenge!

The upgrade kit consists of the following components:

As this kit increases the performance of the ROTAX FR 125 MAX kart engine over the r.p.m. range from 7.500 1/min to 14.000 rpm (see following performance chart) the carburetor jetting needs to be changed (see following calibration charts).
WARNING: The use of smaller main jets than shown in the calibration chart can lead to piston seizures under the existing conditions.
For best characteristic of performance the squish gap (distance between piston and combustion chamber insert at TDC-position of the piston) has to be adjusted with the various base gaskets to 0,9 – 1,1 mm.
WARNING: The squish gap may not be adjusted to a measurement lower than 0,9 mm. A squish gap lower than 0,9 mm will result in a piston seizures.
All other components of the standard ROTAX FR 125 MAX kart engine have to stay unchanged.

We recommend that the upgrade of a ROTAX FR125 MAX kart engine should be done at an authorized distributor or one of its service centers. After the update kit got assembled to the engine you have to run in the engine as described in the operators manual.
